Please keep the indoor air humidity range from 20% to 50%. FTIR infrared spectroscopy instruments need to work in a dry environment because the beam splitters, detectors, and other components may be corroded by moisture. In a humid environment, only the desiccant is not able to completely protect the optics inside the instrument. Therefore, when using an infrared spectrometer in a humid environment, use a dehumidifier to control the humidity in the room.
