Product Introduction

TP-10A Four Ball Friction Tester adopts the latest guidance and control technology, mainly in the form of sliding friction, to evaluate the bearing capacity of lubricant under extremely high point contact pressure. It includes three indexes: the maximum non seizing load Pb, the sintering load Pd and the comprehensive wear value ZMZ. The four ball friction tester can also be used for long-term anti-wear test of lubricant, measuring friction coefficient and recording friction and temperature curves. The four ball friction tester can be equipped with a high-precision measuring device, which can realize the calculation screen display, measurement and recording of friction pairs. With special accessories, the simulation test of end friction and material can also be carried out.

Principle of four ball friction and wear tester

The four ball friction and wear tester is composed of main shaft drive system, oil box and heater, test force sensor, friction measurement system, full-automatic loading system, computer control system (including setting, control, alarm and other units of main parameters), etc. They are all installed in the frame with the welding frame as the main body

3.1 Spindle and its drive system

The spindle is driven by the servo motor through the speed control system, and the speed is stepless. The power of the motor is transmitted to the main shaft through the speed control system of circular tooth synchronous belt.

 

It is difficult to install and debug the spindle system of the testing machine, so do not dismantle and clean it. The spindle drive system can work normally in the range of 10 ~ 2000r / min. because of the application of servo control system, it has high transmission torque at low speed. This machine is controlled by the servo motor. When the friction torque is large suddenly in the process of large load test, the spindle torque increases rapidly, the frequency converter is protected by overcurrent, and the spindle stops automatically immediately; this machine is equipped with a timing unit (preset in minutes and seconds), and the time exceeds the preset automatic stop system.

 

The special extended spindle can be used to design other kinds of special friction couple parts and clamps to expand the application range of the four ball friction tester.

 

During the test, the contact points of all four balls must be immersed in the lubricant. When the steel ball friction pair works, a small signal corresponding to the force is generated through the force sensor, and the friction torque value is displayed through the friction torque measurement system. The friction torque data can be preset respectively according to the friction torque in the test, so as to realize the automatic stop function when the friction torque is over preset.

 

A 250W annular heater is installed outside the high-temperature oil box, and the temperature transmission element is PT100 platinum resistance. The test temperature is controlled and alarmed by digital display from room temperature to 250 ℃ through the temperature control meter, and the signal is input to the microcomputer control system, and the temperature control accuracy can be controlled within ± 2 ℃.

 

3.2  Friction measurement and oil box

During the test, the contact points of all four balls must be immersed in the lubricant. The friction torque data can be preset respectively according to the friction torque in the test, so as to realize the automatic stop function when the friction torque is over preset.

3.3 Micro Control Servo Loading System

TP-10A four ball friction tester is the latest four ball special friction tester for lubricating oil, which adopts the guidance control technology. The control system adopts the new control system of HTMs. Different control modes are set up for the long-term measurement of lubricating oil and the extreme pressure and anti-wear measurement. The advanced tracking and comparison adjustment structure and multi-stage guidance adjustment are adopted for load keeping. At the same time, the advanced control concept is adopted for different tests. It can overcome many problems, such as the noise of hydraulic loading, poor stability and complicated maintenance in the later stage, and effectively improve the reliability and stability of the equipment.

 

3.4 Test system operation interface

 

 

3.5  Measurement of wear spots

The measurement of steel ball wear spots is completed by measuring microscope with the measurement accuracy of 0.01mm. Through the design of the base structure of the measuring microscope, the wear spots of three steel balls in the oil box can be measured without taking out the steel ball. When measuring, first place the oil box on the head seat of the oil box installed with the microscope, make the steel ball aim at the objective of the microscope, and then turn the focusing hand wheel to obtain clear grinding spots. Then, the diameter of the wear spot is measured by special software. Rotate the oil box and measure the average wear spot diameter of the other two steel balls in the same way. The arithmetic mean value of the average wear spot diameter of the three steel balls is the average wear spot diameter of this test.

 

The image of wear spots can be displayed on the computer by the microcomputer electronic template measurement system. The image can be measured, edited and saved by the special processing software. The wear mark measurement system is easy to operate and improves the measurement accuracy. At the same time, the metallographic measurement system can also be used to measure and draw other tribological spots according to the needs of customers.
